Projects
HSBC Data Centres, UK
RED developed design templates for two 6000m² net white tile space new build data centres for HSBC in northern England. RED also developed the design template for a third 3000m² net technical new build data centre in southern England, for which we have monitored design and installation on behalf of HSBC. One of the two northern sites was expandable to 9000m² , the other 7500m², each with an eventual 25-30MVA load. Red’s solution was to achieve the energy savings and operational resilience required through the use of watercooled chillers and cooling towers with free cooling, variable speed fans and variable speed pumps and heat recovery. Renewable energy sources in the form of photovoltaic cells were designed into the roof of a walkway to provide power to the external lighting and ancillary

Key Facts
