The involvement of the LEED consultancy during the design phase has integrated sustainability into the project's core which aligns with US standards for sustainable design.
Additionally, the project maximises land use despite its odd land shape, creating two data centre blocks with distinct designs for varied client needs:
- The IX building serves enterprise and colocation clients, with electric independence and mechanical systems shared across four tenants (two floors for each)
- The Hyperscale building offers full M&E autonomy for four tenants, ensuring full independence without affecting the operation to each other's. (two floors for each)
While civil and structural planning has ensured that the facilities will stand on a sound foundation, capable of withstanding the environmental demands of central Jakarta. As the city water in Jakarta is not clear enough to ensure a sound mechanical system performance, a water softener system has been proposed to tackle the city's water clarity issues for mechanical systems.
Also, the drainage design eliminates runoff issues by incorporating a soak pond and septic tank system for sewage treatment, with an oil interceptor to separate oil from wastewater before centralized treatment at the septic tank.
As the project transitions from design to construction, the Engineering Design Team's role has transitioned as well, ensuring the construction phase adheres to the specifications as promised.

Get in touchPROJECT SUMMARY
The planned project is a new Data Center Development located in central Jakarta, Indonesia. featuring two phased built data center structures. The IX building will host eight data halls with 1 MW capacity each, and the Hyperscale building will have eight data halls with capacities of 4.5MW for each floor.
The project's MEP design meets UPTIME Tier 3 standards, ensuring N+1 redundancy for critical systems such as chillers, CHWPs, CRAHs, and fuel pumps. The projected peak PUE stands at 1.50 including UPS Battery charging and 1.45 excluding UPS battery charging for the IX building. While,
1.46 including UPS Battery charging and 1.40 excluding UPS battery charging for the Hyperscale building, showing a strong commitment to energy efficiency.
The design phase of the project began on January 10, 2022, and ended on June 27, 2022. Construction commenced following the final design phase submission and is expected to be completed by March 2024.
36MW
IT Load Capacity
IT Load Capacity: The IX building supports an 8MW IT load, while the Hyperscale Building accommodates 36MW, fully utilizing the available space within the data center buildings to enhance IT infrastructure.
TIER III
Reliability Standard
Reliability Standard: With a Tier III rating, our facilities ensure concurrent maintainability, allowing for system maintenance and upgrades without disrupting operations.
1.50PUE
Energy Efficiency
The IX building boasts a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.50, the Hyperscale building a PUE of 1.46, and the entire campus maintains a PUE of 1.47. This shows our commitment to maximizing energy efficiency within the scope of operational plant.
Our team was delighted to successfully complete the design and we remain dedicated to meeting clients' expectations, delivering the project on time and on budget.Quak Wee How
