RED provided full MEP design for this hotel, comprising two towers covered with a glazed cloak (grid shell) and with underground parking for 200 cars.
Commissioned at an unusually late stage, designs for this super-luxury hotel tested RED’s international teamworking to the limits. Replacing the original highly inefficient design concept with a scheme entirely fit for purpose, RED carried out all MEP for the hotel – including the production of 1300 drawings – in just twelve weeks.
CFD analysis was utilised in the design of the hotel rooms and the link bridge. Colour-changing LEDs shroud the distinctive gridshell structure of the 499-key contemporary hotel that also features 13 restaurants and lounges.
Working on site throughout the construction, as part of a dedicated team saw the hotel, the centre piece of the new F1 circuit, open in time for the inaugural Grand Prix.

RED provided MEP design for ESPA within Yas Viceroy including nine treatment rooms, separate private areas for male and female guests, a relaxation lounge overlooking the Yas Marina race track, plus the Viceroy Presidential Treatment Suite featuring its own hammam, steam room with a rain shower and color therapy, and Kinesis fitness equipment.
RED was able to accommodate the extremely aggressive construction program while maintaining their professional responsibilities to ensure the proper implementation of systems and integration of technical components. The documentation and reporting of supervision efforts provided to Asymptote, and the client, provided clear direction as we progressed through the various stages of construction.
