Takwa Dawdi to Speak at Touchdown Middle East 2023

RED Engineering is thrilled to announce that Takwa Dawdi, our esteemed and award-winning Senior Electrical Engineer, has been invited to speak at Touchdown Middle East 2023. 

Takwa will be a key participant in the panel discussion titled "Women in Infrastructure: A GCC Review," scheduled for Day 1 of the conference on 21st November at 15:55. The panel will delve into the current landscape of gender diversity within the GCC and the digital infrastructure workplace.

Takwa Dawdi is an accomplished Electrical Engineer, demonstrating an unwavering passion for critical infrastructure design, digital engineering, and sustainability solutions. In just three years since entering the construction industry, Takwa has ascended to the role of Senior Electrical Engineer at RED Engineering, showcasing remarkable leadership and technical expertise across various MEP and Data Centre projects in the Middle East, Europe, and APAC regions. Her extensive experience in electrical design and construction sets her apart.

Recognised as the "Young Engineer of the Year" at the ITP Media MEP Awards 2023, Takwa stands out as a rising star in the MEP sector, embodying a unique blend of skills, dedication, and a promising future.

Beyond her technical prowess, Takwa is a staunch advocate for women in construction and actively engages in outreach initiatives aimed at bridging the gender gap in the industry. Serving as the DXB lead for the Women in RED (WiRED) initiative, under the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) committee, Takwa is committed to driving initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion at RED Engineering.
