Principal Electrical Engineer - Dublin

A Principal Electrical Engineer is required to join our expanding Dublin office. The successful candidate will be involved in the following rage of projects: Data Centres, Industrial, Commercial, Oil and Gas & Pharma.

Role Responsibilities

• Producing feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support.
• Producing design drawings, electrical plant selection and specifications.
• SME for the team.
• Liaising with other disciplines.
• Delivering a high calibre of technical quality, contributing to bids (TBA), interfacing with clients and collaborators in design and planning.
• Delivering to agreed budgets and schedules.
• Liaising with power utility companies and managing power supply upgrades

Role Requirements

• 8 years plus as a principal engineer, covering the duties as listed above.
• Candidates with chartership or in the process of attaining chartership will have a distinct advantage.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have a full Irish driving licence.
• Candidates must be fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
• Be proficient in the following software, Dialux, Amtech (trimble) Etap, Eracs Cdegs etc. (and be in a position to provide training to others within the group).
• Detailed electrical design experience (LV, MV,HV) in data center/building services environment. Design experience to include SLD (topology), coordination studies, electrical services design.
• Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etc.
• Ability to prioritise own workload
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Managerial skills
• Presentation skills
• Background in consulting or construction preferred.
• Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.
• Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group
