RED are an expanding international M&E consultancy, with a proven track record in low energy design, focused on providing excellent design solutions to clients.
To support global expansion we are seeking an experienced person to lead the RED ICT APAC technical design team. This is both a technical and people management role. This position requires excellent technical credentials and the ability to organise, motivate and manage a small team of highly capable individuals.
We now seek a fully experienced Associate to be based in our APAC offices with the ability to inspire others and will be responsible to work with highly experienced and talented engineering teams.
Role Responsibilities
Associate - ICT and Security Infrastructure
The role has three primary components:
- Project Technical and Team Leadership
- Project Coordination and Reporting
- Commercial Representation
Project Technical and Staff Leadership;
- Oversee technical design work, in particular quality and timelines
- Actively represent RED ICT in multi-disciplinary technical design meetings
- Act as the RED ICT primary point of contact for clients and partners
- Visible & active contribution in project facing activities, technical meetings
Project Coordination and Reporting;
- Facilitate and host project progress and quality reviews
- Undertake resourcing planning, provide regular and consistent project reporting
- Act as the APAC regional interface with RED ICT management
- Provide continuous updates regarding client and partner commercial activity
Commercial Representation;
- Work closely with office colleagues commercially representing RED ICT
- Interface with management for, estimating, project costings and fee calculations
- Response to ICT consultancy enquiries, fee proposal production, presentation
- Support market activities to raise the commercial profile of RED in the region
Ideally the candidate will have a technical understanding of the following
- Critical Facilities/Data Centre Design
- Campus Networks
- LAN Ethernet Switching
- Redundancy and Diverse Routes
- Wi-Fi Network Communications
- Structured CablingSystems
- Fibre Optic Networks
- Data Cabling Containment Systems
- Telecommunication Network Infrastructure and Services
- External Underground Network Services
- TVRA
- Redundancy and Diversity on the routes
- Low current Systems – SCADA, BMS, EPMS, Security, Detection
- LEED / Local Green Building Regulation such as Estidama, DGBR
Role Requirements
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- At least 5 -10 years’ appropriate employment experience
- Relevant past employment examples:
- IT/Multi-disciplinary consulting firm
- ICT consultancy and project management
- Security Consultancy
- Construction project management (with a technology emphasis)
- Experience in ICT & SECURITY infrastructure, building ICT & SECURITY fit-out migration and occupation from Design to Delivery
- Fully Integrated ICT & SECURITY System Design Solution and industry standard open protocols
- Security Management System - CCTV, ACS, IDS, Intercom, Physical Security
- Building Networks (Active & Passive) supporting the ICT & SECURITY system
