We're delighted to announce key leadership appointments for RED Engineering Design in MEA, and the well-deserved promotions of Simon Young and Kenneth Heney

Simon Young, Director (MEA),

Simon, who previously served as our Global Head of Business Development & Marketing, has now been appointed to the distinguished role of Director (Practice Lead) for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. Since joining RED in 2019, Simon has spent several years in various regions, initially in the UK, then expanding the RED business in APAC before relocating to the UAE to focus on the development of the business in region.

With over 25 years of experience in technical sales and business development, Simon has established himself as a highly respected figure in the Data Centre sector. His unwavering commitment and proficiency have been consistently demonstrated throughout his career.

Simon’s strategic leadership skills, combined with his talent for cultivating and maintaining global relationships, have been instrumental in driving growth and expansion for RED. His unique approach to business development, which blends technical knowledge with a deep understanding of market dynamics, has consistently yielded positive results.

In his new role as Director (MEA), Simon will utilise his extensive experience and strategic insight to further our organisation’s objectives in the region, while also forming part of RED’s global leadership team. We are confident that under his guidance, we will continue to strengthen our presence and achieve new milestones in the MEA region.

Kenneth Heney, Regional Director (MEA),

Kenneth, a seasoned Director renowned for his technical expertise and business acumen, has stepped into the role of Director and Head of Project Delivery (MEA) at RED Engineering Design. With an extensive career spanning c25 years as an Electrical Engineer, Kenneth brings a wealth of experience to the role, consistently delivering exceptional designs across various sectors.

In his new capacity as Director, Kenneth's presence enhances RED's leadership team, particularly bolstering the company's foothold in the GCC region. His comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the built environment further strengthens RED's capabilities, positioning the company for continued success and growth in the region.

Kenneth has earned an outstanding reputation among clients, and his appointment signifies a significant milestone for RED Engineering Design, reflecting the company's commitment to delivering excellence and staying at the forefront of innovation in the industry.
