Celebrating Our Partnership with Soltec
RED Engineering Design is excited to highlight our recent participation in the grand opening of Soltec’s new hazardous solvent recovery facility in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. This significant event, conducted by Soltec Managing Director David Corcoran, attracted esteemed attendees, including Minister of Enterprise Peter Burke and Enterprise Ireland representative Mark Christal.
The opening of this state-of-the-art facility marks a pivotal moment not only for Soltec, celebrating 30 years of excellence as the only fully Irish-owned licensed hazardous waste recycling facility, but also for RED Engineering Design. Our collaboration exemplifies how we can provide immense value to both existing and prospective clients through our innovative engineering solutions.
Enhancing Capabilities for Our Clients
The new facility enhances Soltec's operational capabilities, increasing their recycling capacity from 5,000 to 20,000 tonnes per year and expanding their services into sectors such as pharmaceuticals. This achievement showcases how RED Engineering Design can contribute to our clients' growth by providing tailored engineering solutions that meet their evolving needs.
RED was tasked for the design and implementation of the new tank farm, the integration of a distillation line, and the customisation of carbon adsorption abatement systems, Soltec has positioned itself at the forefront of sustainable practices. Our expertise in 3D modeling further ensured a smooth construction process, exemplifying our commitment to quality and precision.
Commitment to Excellence and Client Success
At RED, we understand that our clients' success is our success. This philosophy drives us to consistently deliver high-quality engineering solutions that not only meet regulatory standards but also enhance operational efficiency. Our participation in Soltec's project is a testament to our ability to foster strong partnerships, ensuring that we align our goals with those of our clients.
During the opening event, our team, represented by Larochelle Jardim, who led the design of the abatement system, and Pedro Rivera, Technical Director at RED Engineering Design, received positive feedback that reinforces our dedication to excellence. We are proud to report that production at the new facility exceeds targets, with emissions reported to be tenfold below licensed limits—a clear indicator of the value we bring to our clients.
