Thierry Kalfon became CEO of RED Engineering Design in September 2024. Working closely with colleagues across RED's global organisation, Thierry is committed to designing a zero-carbon future.
Prior to joining RED, Thierry spent 14 years at ENGIE, focusing on operational roles in Renewables and Finance. Since 2021, he has served as the CEO of ENGIE Renewables in Australia and Southeast Asia, where he built ENGIE’s Renewable portfolio in this region, including a 3.5 GW pipeline and 0.7 GW of projects in operation or under construction
Thierry's extensive experience includes various leadership positions within ENGIE's Finance and Global Renewable Business Unit. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund, overseeing structural adjustment programs in countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, and Indonesia. He also served as a Senior Advisor to the State Minister for Energy and Sustainable Development in France.
Throughout his career, Thierry has played a crucial role in steering ENGIE’s renewable initiatives across 23 countries, contributing to the company's transition to renewable energy. He has also coordinated significant growth and transformation plans and developed new business models for renewable asset management.
