Infinity Janet Framework
RED was the lead consulting providing full MEP design for the Infinity Janet Framework involving design for multiple phases of independent data space, working with Mace to deliver Infinity Slough’s Data Centre.
Janet was acknowledged for its design through two awards; “Data Centre Blueprints” and “Innovation in the Mega-Data Centre”.
RED developed a highly efficient yet flexible solution, adaptable to meet Infinity’s clients needs. The solution uses Air Cooled Free Cooling Chillers running at elevated CHW temperatures of 20oC – 26oC to maximise available free cooling. The electrical infrastructure has been designed such that the IT equipment can be supported by various distribution topologies from non-UPS backed through to a 2(N+1) distribution system to meet the end users final requirements.

Key Facts
Phase 2
- 1 x 1,400m2 Data Halls (Ground Floor) each at 2,500kW IT load density
- 1 x 150m2 (approx) Data Hall with inrow cooling 250kW expandable to 500kW (Ground Floor)
- Associated plant and equipment rooms and circulation spaces
- Transformers, UPS and LV switchgear dedicated to each Data Hall and its associated systems
- Common chilled water system with chillers and CRACs to each of the above spaces
Phase 3
- 1 x 1,100m2 Data Halls (Ground Floor) each at 2,000kW IT load density
- Associated plant and equipment rooms and circulation spaces
- Transformers, UPS and LV switchgear dedicated to each Data Hall and its associated systems
- Common chilled water system with chillers and CRACs to each of the above spaces
